Alex trained as a Legal Costs Draftsman in a Solicitors’ practice before moving to an independent firm of Law Cost Draftsmen where he managed a large and wide-ranging caseload of both Claimant and Defendant work. 

Alex saw that there was a gap in the market for a legal costs firm offering clients straightforward, trustworthy advice and a high level of personal service. In 2000, he established County Cost Consultants to meet that need. Since then, the firm has gone from strength to strength. Today, County Cost Consultants is one of the leading boutique legal cost consulting firms in the country and employs a team of talented and experienced Cost Lawyers and Draftsmen.

Alex has never lost sight of the firm’s founding principles and the team remains solely focused on securing the best possible outcome for clients whilst providing a high level of service at every stage of the legal costs process. Many clients have been with the firm since its beginning.

Alex is a highly organized and diligent entrepreneur with wide experience of establishing and running new businesses. However, Alex remains closely involved with County Cost Consultants, handling key client relationships, and managing a case load of his own. He regularly delivers talks and seminars to clients on the impact of the ever-changing world of costs on their business.
